CFS Engineering utilizes precision Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment to collect field survey data in addition to conventional survey methods. Geographic Information System (GIS) technology is then often used to compile and analyze various types of digital information such as digital elevation models, geologic and soil features, watershed limits, rainfall data, flood plain limits, habitats, vegetation densities and more.

CFS Engineering is also experienced in the interpretation of aerial photographs when available to identify site resources, constraints, and historic trends pertaining to a given site.

CFS Engineering is proficient in the most current versions of AutoCAD and ArcView mapping and analysis programs. CFS Engineering also prepares high quality map graphics for inclusion in project plans, permits applications, and public presentations.
