How do I obtain a Title Report if I do not have one or cannot find it?
If you know the name of your Title Company you may call them and ask for a copy of your existing Title Report. If the copy you receive says “Preliminary Title Report” please ask them to issue a “Policy of Title Insurance”. A Preliminary Title Report is not a legally binding document and is meant for informational purposes only. The Surveyor is not liable for any errors or omissions in a Preliminary Title Report.
